I just realized today that my pup loves to get new toys just like a little kid. It never occurred to me that a dog would get bored w/toys if they had very many of them (Kodee has more toys that some kids do). When I was a kid, we lived out in the country, 7 miles from town, and our dogs (GSD's) were outdoors, loose, and had NO toys. They were surprisingly well-behaved and seemed very happy (my dad didn't put up w/any shenanigans - he was a great pack leader!) It seemed to me like a dog was lucky to have even one thing to play with. Kodee is teething w/a vengence, and is chewing on stuff he shouldn't be. He has Kongs, Nylabones, balls to chase, etc. With such a variety of them, I thought he had enough.
Today I broke down and bought him a new chew-resistant, very bouncy ball, as I took his tennis balls away (because of the issue re: tooth enamel). He is having the time of his life w/this thing. I can't believe how much dogs are like human children (except maybe better-behaved!) LOL!

a wet washrag or towel (ring the water out) that is rolled and taped on the ends and then frozen, will be something else your pup will like to mouth and chew on while he is teething. They were my pups favorites.

Good point, Connie. I get out several toys at a time. (He knows they are mine, and is not possessive at all). I will try keeping all of them up except one, and rotate whichever one I get out. Maybe that will help.
I will also try the frozen-damp-washcloth trick (thank you, Carol), and take away the Nylabones (sniff, sniff. Those things are expensive!) I'd rather not take any chances w/him breaking off a chunk.
