I think Yuko is dead on, Jennifer. If he is at steady weight, in good health, and shows no signs of discomfort, what matters a few possible worms? Now if his stool is very loose, etc...you know.

A vet told me that injested tobacco paralizes the worms so that they can be passed out of the body.
I heard of it being used as an old time horse wormer.
Me too, and some of the "old timer ranchers" still use that here. Been doing it for years and never had a problem I guess.......neither did Grandpa, his dogs always looked great. Table scraps, no vaccs and Copenhagen......hmmmmmmmmm, no wonder he was my favorite person in the whole world....

Dear Robbin: Just concerned. Are you not feeling well, is that why your husband has been asking you to to go the doctor?
If you are having symptoms, (not feeling well etc) you probably should go and check it out. I also hate doctors. I usually put off going as long as I can. Being armed with the knowledge doctors are only "practicing" medicine, I do alot of research myself when I do not feel well. But having said that, if you really hate doctors, go and get checked out, if it is something that needs care, and you put it off (like I do sometimes) you will end up going to the doctor much much more. Prevention and regular check ups help us to stay away from the doctor.
Like you all I have close contact with my pets and have never, gotten worms from them.
I think we all share our food, once and awhile with our beloved pets. They sure enjoy it don't they!
May God bless you
Sharon Empson
Thanks for your concern, Sharon. I actually have been feeling better since this post started. I took some of the advice to heart and had a good old 'colon cleanse' several times and I have been taking a pill that is supposed to kill a bacteria that I supposedly have in my stomach, called helicobacterpilori. I learned alot from the post though...like not to read it at dinner time, lol!!
