I find that the amount in adult food to be enough around 24-26%, I feed adult food as a result of my hd paranoia with rapid growth. I would like to see what the raw people say figuring that out is too hard for my feeble brain. I have used the adult for years and saw no problems.
I never knew if I had fed all natural, how much protein a large breed dog needs at different stages of development. So, I fed my dogs large breed puppy food for the first year, to help prevent any future joint problems.
I see what you mean with the adult food. Its not overloaded with protein, so it would seem to keep the dogs from growing too fast. Do you think adult food has enough of other nutrients for a growing pup though? I suppose you said yours did fine on it, so I guess so.
