Why not buy a Prong Collar and get your wife to use it for Training Purposes during the week when excersise and training is done privatly and on her own, She will then be able to reinforce her position as Pack Leader outside of the training Class,
so when she does go to the training club the Dog will over a few weeks of daily work get the idea into its head that your wife is the Boss, so when she takes the dog to the club she will be in better control of the dog with without having to take or use a Prong Collar to the club which frowns on such a collar just my thoughts on what to do
