Pork neck bones are very hard for some dogs to pass. I had a dog who would yelp every time he popped out a powdered donut hole lookin' turd. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
They make the stools very hard and dry. I only feed them once a week and feed a straight meat meal the next day. That seems to help. I would never feed pork necks for more than one meal in a row just because of the constipation factor.
Do remember every dog is different in their needs. I have one dog that cannot handle pork neck bones or turkey necks - she becomes soooooo constipated. After finding that out I adjusted her diet, she gets more meat and if I run into a problem I add either pumpkin or banana. I also use apple cider vinegar to aide in the digestion of bones. As for the blood in the stool, it may have been so hard that it broke some capillaries... was it red in color or black? As far as the long flesh colored thing... did it appear slimy? Part of detoxify you will find some mucous on the stool and that will stop happening, usually with just one or two stools. Just keep an eye on the stool and adjust your feeding needs accordingly... variety will usually take care of any issues.
