Bigger is better. I have a seasoned gulper who has always eaten raw. He'll chew a large turkey neck, turkey back etc but if I feed him something small down it goes with no chewing at all. I don't worry about it but I ONLY feed raw and I assume his digestive enzymes are working. You feed raw for a treat right? I wouldn't feed a raw treat at the same time as his regular food. I believe they digest cooked/raw very differently. Feed the raw alone. Keep it up! Who knows maybe you'll transition over to completely raw. Try some turkey necks, they're readily available and you can get some big ones. The idea is to give him something he must chew because it's to big to gulp.

Hi Lori
I did start to feed Older Pup Raw, but had to give it up and i would do so with both Dogs, but to feed Raw over here in Belgium is not so easy as in the USA, For instance i expect the cost of living in the USA is cheaper than England where i was born , but over in Belgium the cost of living is one third higher than England to live. and we cannot get get Turkey Necks Chicken Necks and Backs as easy as you seem to do in the USA. I can go to the other side of Belgium to a Slaughter house and possibly get it a little cheaper but i do not have the room or facilities to store a great amount to make it pay. If i go and Buy Raw Chicken Legs and Etc from the Supermarket it will cost around 12 $USA a kg,
And ground beef just on its own for two dogs would cost about $17 USA dollars for one feed for two Dogs and that i cannot afford to pay,
So i give them the best kibble i can get and a chicken wing each every day as a treat, but i am a bit wary of giving one now to the little Pup
