This is a breed that has always intrigued me. Has anyone here ever owned one or even seen one. Is this a good working dog or can it be? I don't want another dog i'm just curious to hear any experiences anyones had with this breed, i've read lots from the internet but you can't never get enough info right?

I met a beuceron at a long SAR training weekend. The dog was very much a handful for its owner ( who in no way demonstrated any sense of dominance or control over the dog) and, though young, it already had one hip replacement and another bad hip. They did wash out shortly after that weekend, I understand.
Funny thing was she researched extensively and went to France to get the dog. She alleged the breeder told her that the bad hips were entirely the owners fault and not a genetic problem. So perhaps caveat emptor - this seemed more than the the thing you see GSDs coming from Europe with no "hip guarantees" on a puppy - where there is no denial that dysplasia has a strong genetic element.
Other than that he was a handsome dog. Like I said, seemed much of a handful. This was the only one I have seen in my life so I don't know how it stacks up to the norm.
I have a beauceron. The link Connie provided includes a summary of my experience with her, which has been excellent. She is a pet with great spirit and obedience, but lacking in certain "working" dog qualities. She is a dog who takes some time to settle. She is excellent with my young kids.
The following link includes some photos of my dogs.
The following is a U.S. breeder worth contacting for a reasonable sport prospect. There may be others. The fanciers in the U.S. are predominantly show oriented, but also interested in the whole dog. Some are herding with Beaucerons.
Thanks Andrew for those magnificent pictures. The countryside is breathtaking where you are! Nice to see so many dogs involved in activities, they sure do look like they are happy and enjoying life.
