Help please...We have two neutered male Olde Boston Bulldogge puppies, they are six months old and one of them started growling at us at 4 months old. Everything that I have read leads me to beleive that this is very uncommon which makes it difficult to find any help. We have hired a professional to work with us and her thoughts were that he gets over stimulated very easily and just lets us know when he has had enough. When he growls we ostracize him and put him in the bathroom for a time-out, this seems to help for a while. He doesn't growl when you take his food or his toys it is only when he is being petted, especially when he is lying down. One thing to mention is that when he started this behavior at 4 motnhs we tried the put him on his back and gently hold him until he stops but this seemed to infuriate him further and turned him in to a snarling little gremlin...is this where we have gone wrong? They are in their crates when we eat, we eat first, they sit for attention, we go out the doors first and they are not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture, what can we do?? The other dog is fine....
