A few months ago, I got a better digital camera than the little one we used to have. So for those interested in seeing photos of training at Joliet Schutzhund, the slide show is updated more frequently now. There is also a menu selecton in the left hand bar of the web side for "Slide Show Archives" so you can see how crazy we are with our training in the historical sense.
The current slide show at http://www.JolietSchutzhund.com features the teams who trained obedience last Saturday...in the snow, of course!
For those who might be interested in seeing some awesome photos of Dave Blank's compeition dog Fero (not taken by me - I'm a long way from being THAT good with a camera) visit http://www.jolietschutzhund.com/Slideshows/slideshow_fero.htm. Photo credit goes to Ami Prindiville. Fero has one of the more interesting hold/bark's I've ever seen. And he does this in PERFECT rythym. I actually have gotten a couple good shots of Fero doing that, because the rythem is so steady. What I have yet to do myself, is catch Fero on the fly for a long bite. He is very, very fast. Ami is quite proud of a couple of those pictures featured in the slide show.
Anyway, enjoy the slide shows if you like training pictures. Feel free to ask...what the heck was X doing in THAT picture?? If you feel the need. Our group is open to all experience levels, and many of us are beginners. And I tend to take pictures of everything - both the "victories" and the "learning opportunities."
If any of you who assist with your own club web sites like the slide show format, the name of the software comes up at the very end of each show. I use the free version (which automatically includes that ad at the end of the show) and it's quite easy to use. You can download and go!
Anyway, we are settling in for the coldest part of the year, and wishing for an early spring!
