I wonder if there is a difference in the number of dysplastic dogs between the german bloodlines and the czech GSDs? I don´t know if this is true, but a breader I spoked to said that there were more HD problems in the czech and slovakian dogs because they haven´t been screening for dysplasia as long as they have done in germany.
He breeds GSDs from westgermanlines,DDR and "old swedish lines", so he may be pushing his own dogs. But I guess the screening for HD hasn´t be going on in the rather poor easteuropean countries in the same amount and lenght of time as in germany, so maybe there is some truth behind his statement.
I am closing this thread. This issue is based on someone whosimply has an opinion. Its not based on fact and therefore not worth passing bad information to new people in the breed.
