Frankly I never talk to any breeder who claims their dogs are good for whatever. Doesn't matter wheather we're talking about PP, ScH, hunting, or companionship. Any breeder that claims all their dogs are good for everything only see my back side.
Without even a thanks for the time.
Randy
Well, since they're offering personal protection training, ask them *exactly* what their qualifications are to offer this type of training - most kennels will fail this test flat out.
Also, they're offering tracking lessons, you could ask the same thing. If they have several tracking titles that *they* put on various dogs, they're probably qualified.
Most people just don't ask the hard questions and persist to get real answers from breeders and trainers. If more clients would, there would a lot less unqualified people offering training.
As a note, this is *not* to say that shooterk9 is not qualified - they may be the best thing since sliced bread.
However, I've learned that most trainers and kennels that are qualified are quick to list their qualifications all over their web site - that's just good business sense.
I know this guy. And I absolutely can NOT recommend him as a trainer or breeder. I'm not sure what details we're allowed to share on the open forum so I won't say any more in public, but I can provide more info privately if needed (or publically if it's allowed?).
