I must say I'm impressed!
Don't know if this is the right place to post this, and I feel like I should address it to Ed and Cindys' personal mail thanking them for the new tool in training.
My problem was (in capitial letters 'was') the heavy prey drive in my dog. In drive, off lead voice just did not matter. I'm no neophite with dogs, but this one has confounded me on this issue since she was about 6 or 7 months old, she now almost 2 years. I'd tried every trick and ploy I've learned over the years and decades with dogs, pored over books to see if I'd missed anything and rehashed it all again. The only thing I never reverted to was the yank and crank garbage I was taught as a child, but I was getting close to it.
About 3 or 4 weeks ago I ordered and reveiwed Eds' video on the use of remote collars. Watched again. And refreshed my memory before going out today. This is a testament from a first time user of remote collars........Magic.
Dear Rich: I am curious, how has it helped you with your dogs agression? I have read that agressive dogs can become more agressive when using the ecollar, so I am curious about your dog and how you used it. I do not have an agressive dog, but just would love to hear about your experience, and maybe some others on the forum would too.
I just received my Dogtra 1700 and E-Collar DVD last week and I can't wait until I am finished collar conditioning. The videos are spectacular and I have found myself watching my 2 videos over and over so I make a few mistakes as possible. Now, I can only hope I can purchase a GSD puppy from Mr. Frawley! Or wait about 4 years until I am ready for a Mal!
