capone does this thing where he isn't actually biting, he is using his front teeth and biting like he would at a flea, but on me.
It's just playing, and he has never put his full mouth on me, it's just this teeth thing.
I can't get him to stop, i grab his collar up behind his ears, and calmly tell him to knock it off, and he falls down, rolls over, and still tries to do it. I can;t pop his prong because i am using both hands to keep him from doing this. Those little front teeth hurt, it's like pinches, and i have welts now on my arm.
It's not malicious at all, he is definately playing, and correcting it makes him think i am playing back.
I can get him to stop if i just pull him back and slowly turn and walk away, but i shouldn;t have to walk away, he should stop.

This is grooming behavior, he is grooming you. Grooming often initiates play. Corrections might confuse him as he is likely just trying to be affectionate to you. Try holding his mouth or holding his lip between your fingers and putting pressure on it (but don't pinch) It will take patience to stop this, be very consistent and resist the urge to move away. Or you can try a taste deterent, putting lime juice or vinegar water, getting a cotton ball wet with it and touch his mouth with it when he starts the nibbling.
Most of my dogs have done this, it doesn't bother me but I know what you mean with the pinching. Cajun, being an AB, had an underbite and he would give me blood blisters with those little nibbly teeth of his.

i figured it was grooming like, but he thinks i am playing when i tell him to stop, and what is "grooming" from maybe my chi is vary painful coming from him. But he doesn't understand that.

are there ways to get him to stop? He has zero interest in toys, so i can't shove a toy in his mouth, and he really doesn't care about food either. He doesn't take treats, he just looks at them.
Hypothetically, i could pad my arms really well, and still play, but i want him to be able to play without flea biting my arms.

how about lemon juice instead of bitter apple.
I don't like the bitter apple, because half my dogs like it, and as it is alcohol based, the older it gets, the less it works.
But i juice my others for barking and humping, so....
whenever i point the little yellow bottle at Bart, he automatically lays down, and smacks his lips, lol. And the others wont go up to him because they can smell his lemon breath, and know he got in trouble.

Do you use straight Lemon Juice?
Ineed to figure something out and both Fargo and Loki Like the taste of bitter apple.
I do have food grade Citric Acid so i have been thinking of making my own bitter spray, but i wasnt sure of amounts with that.
My concern with either is squirting them in the eye by accident.

My dog does this too. We call tehm "love bites". I also discourage this due to the amount of bruises and welts I was getting. Have you tried a loud "YIPE" or "ouch" and scrunching up your face so he knows he hurt you? Or gently holding his muzzle, looking him in the eyes and telling hin no? I don't know what will work best for your dog, keep trying things, and be persistent. Mine does it much less now, and seems gentler too, but he is getting older also.

i do use straight lemon juice, out of the little yellow lemon bottle.
and i have yelped, held his muzzle, etc. No matter how serious i am, he thinks it's a game.
I have started juicing him, and that's working. But mostly, he wants to play, and he just isn't going to get to decide when we play.
