At 7 months my boy just became a toy fanatic. He had a low drive, he did not have much toy or play drive. Now at 7 months he is like a different dog, he goes crazy when i take out the tug toy , he starts to jump to try to get it out of my hands.
Thanks to the advice given to me on this forum i never gave up.
I'm glad i stuck to the very short sessions of playing tug. Some day's he would just look at me without interest in the tug while i acted like a crazy man playing by myself with the tug. My neighbors think i'm nuts. Other day's he would show interst for a very short times. The key was that i never gave up..
I guess it's time to go over my Drive and focus dvd, which i put away till this day came.
I'm also thinking of getting the Ivan Balabanav, obediance in motion 1 and 2, anyone have these?
It feels great to have my boy wake up and want to play.
Any advice to keeping and improving on this drive would be appreciated .
Thanks to many of you on this forum i have learned a great deal on the subject.
Congrats! Re: the Balabanov series, I've seen "clear communication" and "the game". They are great DVDs and Ivan is a master, but the voice over during 90% of the movie was VERY annoying. It was hard to pay attention to Ivan's movements and also clearly follow what the narrator was saying. I had to keep skipping back to re-listen and I maybe watched those DVDs about 10 times. Hopefully obedience in motion is made differently.
