My bitch is very high drive, and very man/decoy orientated...Perhaps more so than ball orientated... The power she hits the bad guy at and the determination in the bite is the best I personally have ever seen with a young dog..(less than 10months old and a bitch too). More often than not, she wins the sleeve...but we/I intermix it with an OUT and a ball reward...so she doesn't always know or second guess what is happening... Have a look at this clip below of her in a long chase.... the 100% determination in the initial strike/bite...and the calm hold afterwards...I really couldn't ask for more in a dog..and for one so young.. However, she's 20 times better ON lead than OFF.. When she is OFF lead, she is reluctant to bark and will instead simply jump up at the decoy, or shoulder charge him..or the odd nip at arm or hand... Any thoughts, views, tips, surefire methods etc.. I'm all ears.... Protection foundation training with young dogs/pups done properly and positively really breaks the old stereotypes. Good stuff. She has one hell of a grip on that sleeve. John
