In addition, if the dog takes treats without fingers attached I'd have your son do a lot of inductive OB for food/treats with the dog.
Thanks John; I was wondering about this. She's good about taking treats and my son loves to give her a command and see her respond to him. (shaking the paw goes over big in our house!)
I will continue w/ this (under supervision of course) and get him more involved in her mealtime obedience.

Just a thought about the whole prong collar for aggression issues.
isn't it better to NOT use a prong collar for any aggression issue as it may just up the aggression the dog is showing as prong collars are known to boost the drive in dogs?
Just know that i've seen it posted numerous times that prong collars should not be used for any type of aggression problems.

I was going to address this issue too but didn't know if the video mentioned earlier addressed this or not...
Some dogs, it is true, will amp on the prong correction...dd collar is an excellent tool for getting the point across. This must be used correctly, ideally, having an experienced person show you...
Also, keeping things upbeat and positive, motivational too (after having gotten point across). IE: OUTING dog from the bone, trading for a SUPER TASTY treat...then later giving his bone back...it's YOUR bone, but keeping things "all good" with my dog after having gotten the point across to him has been very helpful. This by NO means makes me feel 100% with him, and does not guarantee we will not need the DD collar again in the future for this issue.

Edit reason: motivational.
