I am hoping that a fellow breeder out there can help answer a question...I recently breed my bitch (golden) and everything seemed to go wrong...c-section, she refused the puppies for the first 2-3 weeks (time off work with no pay), pup with a brain injury from mom jumping on her at age 4 days (I tube fed her for 7 weeks and had to put her down), a swimmer pup (all of this from a litter of 4) and the list goes on. Anyway to get to the question...my bitch finally got some mothering instincts...and now that two of the pups have been sold (we kept the one that "picked" us, she is continuing to clean up after her (14 wks old) how long will this go on? When we walk them it is on our 15 acres and we do not pick up after them...maybe we need to start?!
Thanks in advance.
