Hi Terra, All of the previously mentioned books are great. Another one you may want to try is "How to be your dog's best freind" by the monks of New Skete. It is a monastary in Cambridge, New York that breeds and trains German Shepherds.

In addition to the three Vol set that Connie mentioned above, I like "DOGS" by Raymond and Lorna Coppinger. It's a fantastic read on one theory of the dog's evolution from the wolf, and the evolution of numerous breeds.

No, it was on a trail by my house where we do some of our walks and the sun was just coming up and it was foggy so I had a nice background to shoot my picture.
