I have a GSD and now ya'll got me thinking of what my has. I always thought he just land hiar. I'v never herd of a plush coat before now. But from what I was told about long haird SGD's dose not mach my pup, so I'v always wonderd. I was told that how you can tell if a pup is going to be long haird is that he will have tuffs of long fluffy hair in hios ears, around his face and in his toes. My pup is so long and fluffy. Know I know hes very very young but still, I nevr seen a GSD puppie with the coet that my pup has. He's full GSD not mix but he's so long and fluffy all over (he dose NOT have tuffs any wear on him nor the lians main) that I have had people ask me if he's GSD/husky and GSD/chow. He dose have under and outer coats. His under(and this may be couse of his age, he's 10 weeks) is very very fluffy like a chow chow's coat, and the outer is long black and very long next to his under, it's soft but not silky or fluffy, it feels like a normal dog that has a long coat. I have ssen fluffy GSD puppies befor but not like this one. Any thoughts?
I agree with you Susan on Kori's dog - he does look like a longstock coat to me now. His hair looks more silky and slightly longer where Ellie's hair still has the guard hair on the body but just maybe slighly softer and more full -- ie plush.
Thanks for the compliments on Ellie Kori and Denise.
Bob -- Swamp Collie -- Trooper looks stunning to me!
