If you are looking for a someone who does titer testing I suggest Dr Jean Dodds, Hemopet. (Parvo & Distemper are $35, Rabies is $75) http://www.itsfortheanimals.com/HEMOPET.HTM
For $11 my local vet will draw the blood and spin it if necessary. Then I send it to her. She gives a diagnostic interpretation along with the results.
Shannon this is a great resource. So if I live in Texas and my vet doesn't do titers I can have her draw the blood and then I can send it to HEMOPET for analysis at a very resonible price.
You read my mind. I was going to post this same question. I was just asked for my dog's vaccine records in order to compete. Now, I'm not sure what to do.
Do what Shannon says to see if you can get AROUND it. Or see if they will accept a letter from your vet exempting your dog. I wonder how MANY people out there don't vaccinate - shouldn't you just be able to sign some sort of waiver? If enough of you organized maybe that could be done. My point is if the other competitors' dogs are VACCINATED then why are they concerned if you choose not to?
Right. If anything I should be worried about my dog catching something. Not the other way around. I've been told it's for liability issues with new dogs/puppies. I have to make a decision soon.
