Yes Debbie, just what I was saying in my previous post. I wanted Michele to understand that having a dog that far away takes a lot of training and not usually appropriate in a pet situation.
Operative word in your post is "seasoned hunting dog". Lots of ways to use the collar and not just for corrections.
Michele, all the Dogtra collars can be used for sensitive dogs, that's why I like the reastat. It allows me to fine tune the collar specifically for the dog and the situation. The model is fine, just perhaps more than what is necessary, and it is more expensive than some of the other units.
Operative word in your post Debbie is "seasoned hunting beagle".
Lots of training goes into our hunting dogs and the e collar can be a valuable tool. I want to caution about the necessity of training under variable conditions and that is why I suggested that she not have her dog out of her sight.
Michele, the unit that you were looking at is a super one, all of the Dogtra units can be dialed for all sensitivity levels.
It is expensive and you might not need all of the features offered.

I so appreciate you time. I think I was stuck on their wording "for a sensitive dog" like this was something new. It is good to know they all have this feature. As Jack gets older I am sure our time with the boxer will deminish and I ddo not forsee the German Shepherd ever being too far from us. I think I will stop thinking and place an order.
Thanks. I will try not to be pestering you with too many question once the traing begins.
