We have (almost) decided on a new addition to the pack before our move to Canada, as we have about a year to go.
We are looking at a female Rottie pup, from a good lineage, mostly show stuff but with some working history. The new pup will be mainly a pet, but again I'd like to do some Schutzhund/Ringsport stuff for fun.
I'm getting mixed messages about whether 2 females is a good idea. Teagan (Dobie) is 18 months. The breeder says there should be no problem so long as pack structure is maintained, but others say 2 females will fight.
Does anyone have experiences of this? Also, are the 2 breeds compatible?
As a second question - what suitable 'goodies' should I be looking at buying for the pup - alongside the Pup dvd and another crate?
Thanks
Rob
