if you don't want to start running ( ) and don't know any runners, you could go to the local running room - i forget where you live but i'm sure there'd be one - they not only have a bunch of clinics and instructors most days, but wednesdays and sundays have a run club, i'm sure the store manager would be able to put you in touch w/a good possible match, most stores function as a little community as well, so i think they'd be able to point you to dog-savvy runner.
Hey guys, I just found this and ordered it as well, Dog Jog. It was the least expensive one I could find and I like that is has the lowest center of gravity like the Biker Dog, Rick posted. What I don't like is that it does not have a spring on it. If it seems to be a problem, I can just modify a spring to it I think. But for $23 shipped, you really can't beat that.
I should have it next week or so and I'll let you know. If they are out of stock on Amazon, I found many available on eBay, but at a higher cost.
I've looked at all the links posted for the bikes, my favourite is the Springer, though the other ones look good too.
However, this Dog Jog - well, be careful Alex. I didn't like that the dog is positioned behind the bicycle - out of your line of vision. If the dog trips or hurts his foot or something, he could go down and get dragged. By the collar no less, because this model uses a collar and not a harness. Also, as someone else mentioned, there is no spring - so any strong dog could run off to the side and pull the back tire out from under you. So be cautious with this one, I think. Can't beat the price, though.
I have gotten some really great ideas here. I'm glad I posted!
