Just a reminder story to all of you.
A friend of mine called about a litter of poodles advertised in a local paper and found out a surprising detail. The father of this litter was one of her dogs she had sold on limited registration which somehow became full registration on puppy registration.
Turns out the new owner wet down the paperwork enough to view the full registration numbers and registered online. Since the akc allows this without ever seeing the original puppy registration papers everything appeared in order. She's still in the process of appealing the registration of this dog and litter.
You can check the registration status of all puppies sold by you on the akc website. I guess when I start raising pups again on my limited reg dogs I'll be hole punching out the last two numbers on the full registration box from now on. :-P
