I just purchased a female GSD puppy with both parents having obtained Sch 3 titles. I'm looking forward to training the puppy in German Commands. The pup is from a "b" litter and the breeder is allowing me to choose the b name for the pup. I have chosen the name Blair. Now the possible problem. Is the blieb command going to confuse the dog because of it sounding like its name? Any thoughts on the issue would be appreciated.
Blair and Blieb really don't sound very alike to me, I don't think this will be a problem for you, you can always drawwwww out the command Blieb and use a short "Blair" that will alievate any confusion the dog might have... as well as associate some sort of body language with the blieb command, as the dog will learn that more so then the actual word at first.
