This site explains the test that is being mentioned on this thread and how to score it, using the scoresheet that Will posted a link to.
The DVD, Bite Training Puppies, explains the test as well: http://www.leerburg.com/108.htm . This is an excellent DVD (I have it and relied on it) with wonderful information on foundational work for puppies that you hope to train as a personal protection dog (PPD). I highly suggest you get it ASAP, as you can start work with your puppy right away.
it seems to me, that most of the "puppy tests" are pretty similar when you're talking about 5-8 week old pups. they're testing for basic social responses, play (ie ball) drive, and some problem solving ability. there is plenty of literature on how to test young pups available both in print and online.
