ok, so liver; too much over time---how much would that be? what would be a safe amount? I feed Lady raw but the only organ meat she likes is liver and gizzards (hearts I classify as muscle) and I dont have access to tripe that isnt human grade.
10% of the diet is organs. 5% of which can consist of liver.
This is only a guideline. I hate muddying up the water with percentages and "styles" of feeding. Its what is in most raw books and what most "prey model" raw feeders go by. Its O.K. to fudge a little one way or the other.
Liver is the best source for Vitamin A. It also contains Vit. E,D & K.Also has minerals like zinc,manganese,selenium,iron.its good for anaemic dogs. its a good protein sourceand has both Omega 3 & 6. i feed 5% of the total amount to the dogs. No problems yet even though they are on RAW since just a year.
