Hi Al thank you for your response. I'm new to a formal training. I have done some research and I am very much intrigued by some of the Schutzund training. I am generally interested in leveraging the puppies natural skills. The puppy I purchased who I will pick up Saturday is a Working line GSD with solid lines of accomplishment and heritage (she is 8 weeks old). I have ordered one of the package of DVD's from Leerburg to better understand general obedience. I have had a prior GSD for 15 years who just recently passed away and had no formal training but had good general obedience skills.
