Thank you Lynne for helping me get oriented, I worked with Kane this morning and he was wonderful. I sent the other two dogs away, and they sat on the deck and watched, we spent 5 minutes in a great session.(so I know next time when it is the weekend and my husband is home and there are more distractions, to take Kane back into the house where he behaves beautifully.)
Thank you to all the experts on line and to Ed and Cindy, you have truly saved my sanity.Where I live there are many well intended "expert givers" and definitely no one who knows anything about Geman shepherds. This is my first companion puppy and I was only trying to find help to do this all right. I feel better now that I have access to good information.

Whenever I have a bad training moment, I try to really think about what I did wrong. And it is always something that I forgot to do, or I wasn't well-prepared given the situation, or I lost my cool, or whatever.
