I was feeding IAMS for several years until I ran across this website and bought "8 weeks to 8 Months". Since then I have switched. First to THK. My dogs loved it, but my wallet didn't. So I started using Canidae. My dogs like it, but are no where near as enthusiastic at meal time. Sometimes Chief won't even eat.
So I am wondering if there would be any benefits to mixing the two together to try and stretch THK a bit further.
Thanks for any help.
PS I did a search but didn't really find what I was looking for. Sorry if this has been covered and I missed it.
There wouldn't be any real extreme benefits to it. As you said, it would make them enjoy it more.
If you don't mind buying it and taking the time to make a "THK gravy" for them, then I say go ahead.
I get enjoyment out of my dogs enjoyment at meal time. I'm in the process of switching one of my dogs to raw. At Connie S.'s suggestion we used THK as a bridge between kibble and raw. If I had to feed kibble I would mix it with THK. If only because the dogs like it SO much.

I have done it both ways.
For a while the dogs got Embark as gravy over the kibble, now they get THK (I alternate Force and Embark) in the morning and Evo in the evening. That helps to make the THK last longer and by purchasing online with the 15% coupon helps too.
Before we discovered Hans had food allergies we used to mix Canidae and THK. We did so to lower the cost of feeding. He liked it. He also liked Canidae by itself. He also liked THK by itself. Hans has never been picky about what he likes to eat
I am going to try the raw egg and plain yogurt. I know Chief had never been on just dry kibble until I made the switch to Canidae. The breeder was using Purina canned and kibble mixed. This might be why he doesn't care for the Canidae as much.
Justice, my black lab mix, will eat just about anything. If I didn't meticulously measure his food he would probably be about 10- 15 lbs over weight.
If the egg & yogurt doesn't help, I will use the THK as gravy.
Thank you all again! I just wanted to add this: I really like this site. In a few short months I have learned a lot of what I was doing in the past was unhealthy for my dogs. I wasn't doing it out of malice, but rather I was doing it with good intentions. While feeding IAMS, I actually believed I was giving my dogs some of the best available food. It scares me to think that tons more people, not unlike me, out there that have no idea that the major name bagged food is so bad for our pets. Thanks to Ed's videos and the helpful people on this forum my dogs are now eating a much healthier diet. I am sure if they could they would thank you too.
I just wanted to thank you all for the help. I have been switching between raw eggs and plain yogurt. Both work wonders! My boys are now both excited for meal time. Much better to see them enjoying their food. Thanks again.
