I have a 2 year old GS that has an itching problem. The determalogy vet thinks she may be allergic to ONE flea.
We cannot see any sign of fleas. She has been tested for mites, and we have done the elimination food testing. They have decided it is either enviromnental or feas, he really thinks it could be feas.
We have used frontline every two weeks and that has not controlled the problem. She is now on a new fea treatment called Confortis (it is a chewable table).
Someone suggested to my husband today that they have GS and they put Seven Dust on their dogs and they never have a fea problem.
They say they just put a little in there hand and lightly put on the dog daily...Any comments,,,I do not like this idea
Having grown up in the country, I am aware of people using sevin dust on their animals for pest/flea control. It seemed to work, but it is an insecticide (poison).
Could the reaction be to the actual flea control product you are currently using, ie, Frontline?
