What does abnormal looking bowel mean? Do you know?
The dog is still hospitalized, right? I hope that he feels better, at least.
The dog is in Mississippi State Vet hospital. It is odd because it was very sudden. When my Staff was blocked they said she had abnormal looking bowels, they were enlarged..but from gas as she could not pass anything. I can tell you I did not know she was so sick until she was really sick...she was so hardy and acted so spunky and then within 48 hrs looked like a skeleton. It was scary how fast she deteriated once she showed she was in distress. My Lill just naturally stays lean (she has to be run and excersized a lot because as my father in law says, "she is a crazy DAWG")and Tiger (thats her dogs name)looks lean as well.
I just hope it is not cancer, he is so beautiful, he is a brindle and on top of conformation the dog can PULL!!!!! He is very special to her, it would break her heart. Yes he is much more comfortable too!
Well my friend got wonderful news today...expensive but wonderful! Tiger still had not pooped since he had been admitted. The vet decided to insert a probe in his behind to do what ever it is they do and the probe would not go in. Soooooo they went in with the digits, guess what they found...a corn cob! An xray revealed a few more peices and they should pass on their own. When they said the bowels looked funny it sure sounded to me there was gas trapped and the bottle neck was at the VERY end!!! My friend is so relieved she doesn't mind the 1500 dollar cob removal
