kimberly mentioned getting the thyroid checked and i would do that as well. i have a foster cat w/IBD and who is hyperthyroid and it played havoc with her weight - when she was brought into rescue she was only 4lbs (i'd say her ideal weight would be close to 9lbs). so something going on w/the thyroid could definitely cause the weight loss, even with what you're feeding.
....i forget to ask to get luc's thyroid checked everytime we're at the vet. he's also had a pretty dramatic weight loss, but is still healthy, so i'm not sure if i can offer anything to you there.

Jennifer, I could be wrong about this but generally, usually, dogs have underactive thyroid problems, which results in weight gain.
Cats will have the opposite problem, an overactive thyroid, which results in weight loss.
I remember being told that a dog with an overactive thyroid is rare.
A full blood panel will, in any case, check the thyroid level and, if it is borderline, the lab will do a further test to make certain the thyroid function is normal.
Hello just wanted to let everyone know that we took Zoey to the vet and got her checked out, she is fine, everything is ok, and she is back up to 89lb. The vet aked if she was a dogue de bordeaux, we said no she's a cane corso, he said oh b/c a lot of dogue de bordeaux are that color, I said oh. She's blue btw.
