New to the board. My first post. Looking for any opinions on Dynamite Showdown. I have a 5 month old GSD and have been feeding an all natural diet. I have been giving her one tsb of Showdown a day along with salmon oil.
Corn Germ Meal (dry milled), This is the first ingredient listed. Just seeing it listed anywhere would keep me from giving it to my dogs. I didnt look any farther than that so it may have some beneficial things in it but I think it's a waste. If you're feeding a good Natural diet thats what is benefiting your dog, not this stuff.

Hi, Boyd,
Welcome to the forum!
I agree 100% with Steve about that stuff, after looking at the ingredients. There are ingredients that I would not add to a balanced diet, I think that the bulk of it is the first two ingredients, neither of which I would give my dogs, and it contains mannitol and sorbitol.
QUOTE: Sweeteners have no place in food products that are consumed daily, period. They are generally only added to poor quality foods to make them more attractive, since otherwise dogs would simply refuse to eat them.... END
Natural sugars are bad enough, IMO.
Good for you for asking! What I would do is continue with the excellent practice of giving fish oil (I use a gram, or 1000 mg., per ten pounds of dog weight), and don't forget to give Vitamin E too, because it's used by the dog's system in the processing of the fish oil. Mixed tocopherols is the form I like best, but natural d-alpha (not synthetic, or dl-alpha) is also a good choice.
I would not even finish up the supply of that Dynamite Showdown; I would toss it.
