Ok I may be blowing things out of proportion but I need some help with this one. I have a malinois born 11 DEC 07 so she is sitting at 5 months now, she weighs in at 38.8lbs. She has TONS of energy...
Okay now for my concern over the past week she has lost 5 teeth this week that I have found. I have noticed some blood loss with the teeth falling out nothing out of the norm for such an event. She shows no signs of loss of appetite or jaw/gum pain no signs of infection bad breath, puss, discoloration, foreign objects etc (I'm a navy corpsman so I'm going off the same things I would look for in a human). She still wants to chew on EVERYTHING. Is this normal for a pup of her age or have I done something wrong such as diet etc...?
So long story short HELP me! This little girl has taken over my life and is pretty much everything to me just as some of the members of this board warned me she would.
Any and all help is wanted. Thank you
I talked to the vet on base he kinda seemed a little clueless or distracted when we talked so I wasn't to reassured when he said things were ok with this issue.
teething?
pups loose their teeth at this age. With sonny, i am getting lucky, i never find any blood, or teeth, but his adult teeth are coming in. With Bart, i would find teeth all over the place, and any dog he played with would be all bloody.
as long at the tooth loss isn't keeping the dog from eating/doing doggy things i wouldn't worry.
Molly tended to do a lot of her teething all at once too. Blood on toys and lots and lots and loooots of chewing on everything she could get her teeth into including my hands. I nicknamed her, "The Mouth" around that time. I also found she loves ice cubes. It soothes the gums during teething.
Look on the bright side. No more razor sharp puppy teeth.
Thanks everyone for calming me down. On the up side it is nice that those little razors I mean teeth are no longer putting holes in my hands. At least its not my blood for a change. Still freaked me out however.

Thanks again.
They ARE like razors aren't they? I've yet to find a puppy tooth, I think my dogs must just swallow them or something. Finding 5 in a week would of freaked me out too.
