Ashley Hiebing Webboard User Reg: 07-07-2007 Posts: 143 Loc: Madison, Wisconsin Offline	My dog was put on cephalexin last Wednesday for an ear infection. Since then he hasn't been eating well and he's vomited twice. Is there anything I can do to make this easier on him?

Keflex is a broad-range antibiotic that can cause nausea and vomiting in dogs who are sensitive to it. I would call the vet.

Oh, that's a better suggestion. I should've thought of it, too. I get sick on antibiotics and find it much easier when I take them with food. Duh.

I don't want to think about how much worse he'd be if he got it between meals. =X Connie: Yeah, I read up on the stuff and I heard that it makes dogs nauseous. I'll see if I can call the vet myself; I don't think my parents would. ETA: I've also noticed that he's been eating a lot of grass lately.
