The net research I'm seeing makes me a little suspicious with few testimonials from anyone other than the people selling it. Has anyone used emu oil as a dietary oil? how about as a topical? Did it do anything close to what they claim it does? thanks, Melissa

I was mainly mulling it over for an additional moisture helper for my longer haired dogs. It does have the added benefit of either being topical or digestive without making them look like greaseballs and suggested amounts being tiny compared to other oils (although this oil is amazingly expensive). I've been web pounding much of the evening to see who knows what and it appears the only breed group actively using this regularly are chinese crested breeders and sphynx cat folks. I'll keep digging and perhaps pick out a volunteer dog to give it a run for a month and see if I notice a difference.
