I would hold off on it. It will go better and he will progress faster when he is comfortable with you. Time spent building trust is an investment that will pay off big time further down the road.
Remember, he is young and his world has changed completely in the last several days. You want to keep things low key while he settles in.
I agree that is what I have done so far. no commands and only pack structure corrections. I have of course started some drive building excersises. That is the main reason for the intial post.
I can see that having established the fact I am the leader does mean he is comfortable and trusting yet. I have taken him for a long walk everyday.

I posted in response to Mara's post...I was thinking you had the dog for two weeks. That was my mistake and I apologize....I would really wait a couple weeks, but if you are making progress, then just keep it light and fun for the dog while adhering to the pack structure training.
I usually do not start things other than pack stuff until at least a week and a half.
I do think that it does depend a little on the dog though, some dogs take longer than a couple weeks acclimate. (doesn't sound like that will be the case here) In a couple weeks you could see behaviors change on a mild level to an extreme level once the dog is comfortable.
Until The Tale of the Lioness is told, the Story will Always Glorfy the Hunter
Thanks for the help. I will keep it to pack structure training for two weeks and then if all is going well I will start the drive excercises again. I know it will not hurt anything to wait for a while.
