I've been feeding Beast Canidae and Core (I switch it up every once in a while) with 5 pumps of Salmon Oil, 600IU of Vitamin E, Kelp, Alfalfa and some non fat plain yogurt. I add ground beef, chicken, turkey, etc. about every other day or so. I also throw in eggs, green tripe and other stuff every once in a while. He’s always been very healthy and has always done well on every food I've ever given him. My question is in regard to a product that Whole Foods carries here called Country Pet. I've never heard of it and I haven't found any reviews from sources I trust on the internet so far. It seems very convenient being that it is in log form and that it has a good mixture of ingredients. Anyone have a review? I buy the all-meat, frozen pet food they make at Whole Foods sometimes and it has always seemed to be a good product. I don't know about this stuff from New Zealand though.
None of it is cheap but I am willing to pay for the convenience. He's huge so I gave up on trying to save money on food a long time ago.
Hey Justin, I don't know anything about that product but for me personaly the cost of the commercial raw diets is too much for the little bit of convenience. I have used some in the past to get started on raw but probably won't again. Once you have your routine down, raw is not that much work so I just can't see spending so much money. I looked back at your posts and see you have a pretty large dog, I would bet that food makes you re-think giving up on saving a little money real fast.
