I wanted to announce that Ivan had his first ever full raw meal tonight - bones and all. He is almost at full weight as well. The issue with doors also seems to be a thing of the past. I took him over a friends' house and he didn't even bat an eyelid walking in.
What was even cooler was the fact that this friend is actually a geriatric neighbor who is house bound. Ivan strolled over to him and started licking his hand, then laid down next to his foot to nap. I haven't seen that guy smile so much the entire time I've known him as when he was talking to Ivan. He even invited him to come back on saturday to watch the horse race. He remembered to invite me as well, but for a few minutes I thought only my DOG was invited

Isn't it amazing how gentle some dogs can be around older people! Yesterday my husband brought a friend of ours over to the house (the man is 89 years old). He spent about 4 hours there and the whole time our two dogs were out of their crates, laying at his feet, being petted, etc. by the elderly gentleman. They never once tried to jump up or misbehave. I am so proud of them as I know that you are too of Ivan!
