Well, this is a diferent reason for us to be crate training a pup.
Pup will only poop in her kennel run, she has held herself for hours. During this tme she had ample time to releive herself outside. (no way)
The solution to our problem was to crate train her in the outdoor kennel, same as you would do for housebreaking. "Worked like it should"
Now kennel is kept clean, so much easier to pick up mess in the grass.
Who would have ever thought this type of conern could be a problem.
"let's hear it, am I the only one that has had this problem"
Well I haven't had it as a problem exactly but it is nice when they will do their thing in the grass. I have a few naturally tidy dogs that will hold it in their kennels until you let them out and I agree - much easier to clean up. I like your innovative use of crate training - I guess that it proves how versatile and handy it is as a housebreaking (or kennel breaking!) tool.
