Ok, I have an adult shitzu and a lab puppy. The shitzu is a very soft and laid back dog. When I let the lab and the shitzu out together the lab is way too aggressive with the shitzu for my liking. First thing in the morning during the potty run he always bites the shitzu on the back of the neck. What can I do to control this behavior? I want them to get along and be gentle with each other.
Russell, separate the two dogs. First thing in the morning your pup is wound up from being in its crate all night and it hyper and wants to play. If you want them to interact have two people with both dogs on a leash and play with the pup alone first to tire him out a bit to tone down his enthusiasm.
