If you are in the Lakewood, Ohio area I would urge you to inform yourself about this current city council proposal. Even if you are not a pit bull owner breed specific legislation is something that can have a snowball effect. Pit bulls today, dobermans, rotts, GSD... tomorrow.
BSL is so frustrating. I own a rottie and an APBT and work with a local rottie/APBT rescue so usually have a foster in house as well. We recently were able to shut down proposed BSL that was trying to be implemented at the state level. Luckily we have state laws the prohibit cities/counties etc from passing BSL.
