Well Now I have my real first course and I really want to get phoenix involded majorally with us I dont know if I will ever be good enough to do a real competion but hopefully one day I hope.
My husband also ordered the rest of the set also.

Oh bruiser also sorry I just got done trying it for the first time ever I am so happy
Anything yall can give me again please do
When I did an agility class the first time with my female, Emma, the best dog in the class was a Chihuahua/min pin cross.
I was taking a beginner obedience class with my puppy, and the class afterward was advanced agility. As we were leaving I saw the same owner and chi/min pin cross and I stayed to watch a bit, he was so good!
I like to put all my rescues through an obedience class and if I have them long enough, an agility class. It really helps their self esteem to do something fun with the owner.
I know money is tight but if you can afford it, and you plan to compete some day, try and take an agility class. The reason is that some obstacles, such as the teeter, can scare the dog if you don't teach it properly, and the teacher can also tell you what is important to focus on in training, such as contact points and the correct way to enter the weaves. It is much easier to train them right the first time, than to try and fix training mistakes later.
One thing - no jumps taller than his elbow until he is done growing (this applies to larger breeds I am sure it also applies to small dogs).\
The main thing is HAVE FUN!!! I love doing agility with my dogs and I have been raising my puppy to be a competition dog ever since he was born.
Bump I just wanted to see if anyone has anything else for me
I did back track about 3 pages on the forum I posted in.
I am doing more now that the boards are up for the night
