the ground beef tripe I got didnt really smell to me(maybe because it was ground) BUT this whole rabbit tripe stuff is pretty stinky- my dogs went nuts over the ground beef tripe, biting at the bowls when I was carrying them so I'm sure I will get mauled over this rabbit stuff. Maybe I better throw it out the back door like Sarah does
Needless to say, I was over my guilt after I saw the look of extreme joy he gave me when I handed the tripe to him.
You're a gentleman, Mike.
As with all smelly things, I simply open the back door and hurl it into the yard. Sort of like slopping a pig.
I'm picturing that Sarah! Too funny.
The consistency of my kefir is usually more on the runny side too -- but it does thicken when I occasionally add organic goat milk or even buttermilk instead of the usual organic whole milk.
It also thickens quite a bit as it sits at room temperature unused over a fast day too.
