I should clarify "first time tugging" The video was an actual session, if you will, and the *real* first time was the 2nd time I met him and did just a little test with him. He was not as animated then, but did seem to want to do it.
Do not recall off hand what the growly when tugging means. At this point in his life, I'm thinking its more related to how he acted with littermates. One of our dogs when growing up always grrrred on the tug too though, even as an adult.

Very cute pup.
And i had to laugh because that little toy you're using looks so familiar.
Isn't it suppose to be a babies toy? It makes noises when you squeeze it and stuff right?
Im asking becuase a few christmas' ago I had bought one of those for my niece. When I came home I went in the house and set the bag down and it made a noise and Tucker heard it and just kept looking at me and couldn't figure out why every other squeaky fuzzy thing that came into the house was given to him, but I wouldn't let him touch this one.
So I gave in and let him have it. Now I don't know if it was because this was suppose to be a toddler toy so it was made very well, but it was the most in-destructible thing i ever bought!
The original one gave up the ghost just a few months ago (it was about 2 years old by then) And i just bought another one for him.
I do of course only use it when im around, but he loves it!
Plus we only used it for fetch so you're might not last as long...lol
