looking for a retirement home. NO costs involved.
This female (altered) is a wonderful old girl that is looking for a home to "retire" in.
Nikki is a Mal that was rescued out of a Kansas City shelter when she was about four(4) years old. The people that had her could not figure out how to deal with her drive.
Although she is not my dog, this dog is here at my place until a home can be found. I have cared for her before, several times and will stand behind everything I type here.
She is great around other animals (large and small) and ALWAYS is up for a game of fetch. Runs around with a ball in her mouth constantly. She needs a home with no small children as she is still quick and agile.
I LOVE this dog, however, she cannot stay as I am full and she is not getting all the attention she should get as an "elderly" dog.
Crate and house trained, healthy and vibrant, loves to be groomed and loves to just hang out. Kibble fed, minimally vaccinated.
She does come with some yearly "grant" money that will help cover veterinary costs. If close enough (one day drive or less) I will deliver her personally.
Please contact me privately for more information. Either via PM or boche@gwtc.net
Here are a few pics. Please PM me with any questions.
Thanks.

Carol,
She's beautiful. Is that a sable coat? I'm not a Mal person, and am more used to seeing the buff with mask coats.
Hope you find a great home for her.

She's beautiful!
I'll bet she'd make someone a fine companion!
I hope she has a comfortable life with a loving new owner for her remaining time in this world.

Me too Will, me too.
I do not mind the extra time to give her some time with me and she is a great traveler so she goes to training with me. When I am out in the yard she is with me as well.
I just feel that she would do well with someone she can be with all the time.
She does get along great with other dogs. In fact she just ignores them. She does initiate play with my Bloodhound though and I think it is because he will play with her, but he does not try to steal her ball. Any dog that does that, she goes away and will keep moving if the dog persists, finally coming to me so that I can stop it.
She has never shown aggression towards a pushy dog.

Carol,
I don't know if this would sweeten the pot for getting this nice girl a home but if anyone adopts her in my neck of the woods, I'll train them for *free* up to the old girls potential ( it'd be a nice way for a novice handler to learn the BH, at least ).
C'mon, someone give that ol' girl a home!

Well HECK, I am keeping her then....so when can I come down there.....
OR how about I deliver and just bring Little Em with me too....heck, I'll pay for training.
(I really like Rocky MT Oysters and a nice rare filet with a wedge of aged Bleu cheese would be good.....with a nice Merlot maybe???)

Food AND training? Time and place, please...

I think she deserves a great home since you know she's old. She doesn't have much time left and should get all special treatment like all senior dogs. I hate when I see senior dogs who lived with a family for many years and then they couldn't keep it anymore. It breaks my heart.

Thing with her Lindsay is that she is SUPER happy ALL the time here. Her sweet face makes me smile everyday. I took her to work with me today and she was an angel in the office....except for the roll of paper towels she shredded when I went to answer the phone and she was following me.....ooopss...she was really happy about that too.

Oh, Carol, Good luck finding her a home!!
There has always been a special spot in my heart for the old timers. If I could, I would take her in a heart beat. Unfortunately, I am pretty full up myself with the 4 I have...
Please keep us posted on your search though.. I would like to know that she found a great forever home
