I was wondering if any one had any info on writing a provision for the care of our dogs in case we die. Is there a legal form or can we just write out our own paper and have it with our other legal papers.
We are trying to secure the future of our dogs in case something would happen to Jerry and I.
Thank you
This is a great thing to do, and I am always so happy whenever someone does this. It is an unthinkable thing, but also very necessary.
I just recently had a situation where someone I knew had her mothers' dogs (3 goldens) put to sleep because she was unable to tolerate her mothers dogs being alive when she wasn't anymore. Needless to say, it infuriated me, but it was after the fact. It's unfortunate, but we sometimes have to even protect our dogs from relatives as well.
