Hi, I recently bought a gsd female pup. Both parents ofa (1 good one fair). On the dog with the fair, his siblings were 2 good 2 excellent. We are following the breeders recomendations on what to feed, giving vit c ect. My question is, how much excercise can a 4/mo old do safely? these walks are off leash in the woods hilly and feilds. Right now we are doing about 45 min. She would do more if I let her. Is this too much? It doesn't seem to bother her at all. I just want to be safe. Thanks, matt.

"You don't need to lock the door with that dog in the car", he said, I smiled,...it wasn't the car I was worried about.
Just use comon sense. The walks are good to build the mustles. What you dont want right now is the JARING ,like jumping out of your truck off of tables, jumping to catch balls or frisbies, that kind of stuff. Genetics does play a great part, bt so does the development. Just by asking your on the right tract.
Hey Nikki, thanks for the link. I don't feed the barf diet but my pup is lean. The breeder has us feeding a good quality non-puppy dog food. She also has us feeding good quality raw meat at least once a week and feeding the vit c. I'm trying my best not to let her do any jumping. The only thing is on the walks she runs alot like she's trying to get out her energy. Matt.
