I am evaluating the option of a leisure & dogtraining vacation in Florida begin October this year. I am now training the dog for the helper in protection training. Can anyone in Florida recommend some experienced trainers or good dog training clubs?
Do you know if there are houses in Florida for rent where dogs are allowed?

There's a lot of good trainers in the North Florida/South GA area, there's Ivan Balabanov in Plant City, not that much in Central Florida, a few trainers down South Florida... North FL seems to me to be the better choice, but it depends on what you want and who you want to train with.
North Florida, Will Rambeau here on the board. Central Florida, you have Schutzhund Club of Orlando. One of the oldest DVG clubs in the country, if not the oldest.
OK, Ivan Balabanov in Plant City, Will Rambeau in North Florida and the Schutzhund Club of Orlando in Central Florida, got it. I guess mr. Rambeau graduated from cooking school then.

Iron Dog Schutzhund Club in Ocala, Florida which is in Central Florida. We are very proud of being a Schutzhund USA Club as we consider USA the "National Major League" of the sport and not just a regional patchwork like other organizations.
This is an actual active Schutzhund Dog Club and not a "paper club". We train on a regular basis and have a SCH trial coming up in December. Two certified USA Helpers at this club as well, you will be hard pressed to find helpers at clubs in Florida.
Also: Rivers Training Group in Gainesville, Florida which is North Central organized by Mike Rivers. Training twice per week all three phases, you and your dog will walk away tired, trust me.
Rosalinda van den Ham, not sure if you made it to Florida yet but no one mentioned Miami, FL and you have a top notch trainer down there by the name of Phil Hoelcher (South Florida Schutzhund Club; DVG/GSDCA-WDA affiliated). Ivan and Phil, hands down, are the top two trainers in Florida and no one can dispute that.
